French marble and spelter figural 8 days, time and strike, mantel clock, c1890
CONDITION:
this clock is in nice overall condition, with intact marble base and old surface on the cast metal figures -- hunter, game, dog, musket, etc. -- and ornaments. The man's hand has lost its index finger. The black marble dial. with bold gold numbers, shows the retailer "Besse" and an indistinct town name below. The beveled glass is good. The unsigned movement, with count wheel and bell striking. Ht 17"
